The Powerplant Heavy Duty Timer is for use with up to 600w lights or heaters. This product stands apart from its competitors. HID ballasts are prone to overheating most timers with their high inductive loads. Not only can this break the timer this can also leave grow lights on indefinitely. The PowerPlant Heavy Duty Timer is specifically designed to handle high loads produced from a 600w ballast. Furthermore, this product requires no separate contactor.

What It Is Used For

It is to set the timing of grow lights. Its multiple settings can cover a period of light exposure to your exact specification over a 24-hour period.

How To Use Powerplant Heavy Duty

Position the surface dial to the time correct time. Press down the surrounding black segments on the periphery of the dial to set the amount of time you want the light to be on for. The black segments cover 15-minute intervals, so press down accordingly. Plug the Powerplant Heavy Duty 24-Hour Timer into the power source. Plug your chosen ballast into the timer’s socket. You're ready to go.

Functionality

This is perfect for use with 250w, 400w and 600w ballasts. It is important to not use more than one 600w ballast per timer. This timer can offer up to 96 switching operations over 24 hours, approximately every 15 minutes.
