FAQs
What does Blossom Blood do?
Blossom Blood is a specialized plant nutrient designed to enhance flowering and fruiting. It provides essential nutrients that stimulate bud development, increase bloom size, and improve overall plant vigor during the flowering stage. Blossom Blood helps plants produce more abundant, vibrant flowers and higher quality fruits, making it ideal for both ornamental and edible crops.
How does Blossom Blood work?
Blossom Blood works by delivering a balanced blend of nutrients tailored for the flowering phase. It contains high levels of phosphorus and potassium, which are crucial for bud formation and fruit development. The formula also includes trace elements that support metabolic processes. When applied, Blossom Blood is quickly absorbed, promoting robust flower production and enhancing plant energy distribution to blooms and fruits.
When should I start using Blossom Blood?
Start using Blossom Blood when your plants show the first signs of flowering or budding. For most plants, this is about 2-3 weeks before the expected bloom time. Continue application throughout the flowering period. In vegetable gardens, begin use when fruit-bearing plants start to form buds. For perennials, apply Blossom Blood in early spring as new growth emerges.
Is Blossom Blood suitable for all plants?
Blossom Blood is suitable for a wide range of flowering and fruiting plants. It's excellent for: Ornamental flowers (roses, petunias, marigolds) Fruit-bearing plants (tomatoes, peppers, strawberries) Flowering shrubs and trees Indoor flowering plants However, it's not recommended for foliage-only plants or during the vegetative growth stage, as it's specifically formulated for blooming phases.
How often should I apply Blossom Blood?
Apply Blossom Blood every 7-10 days during the flowering period. For heavy feeders or plants with extended bloom times, you may increase frequency to every 5-7 days. Always follow the product's instructions for dilution rates. Monitor your plants closely and adjust application as needed based on their response. Overuse can lead to nutrient burn, so it's better to start with less and increase gradually.
Can I use Blossom Blood in hydroponics?
Yes, Blossom Blood can be used in hydroponic systems. It's formulated to be water-soluble, making it ideal for hydroponic applications. When using in hydroponics, start with a lower concentration than recommended for soil applications and gradually increase as needed. Monitor your plants closely and adjust EC (electrical conductivity) levels accordingly to ensure optimal nutrient uptake.
Is Blossom Blood organic?
While Blossom Blood contains naturally derived ingredients, it's not certified organic. However, it's formulated to be environmentally friendly and safe for use in home gardens. The product focuses on providing essential nutrients in forms that are readily available to plants, promoting natural growth processes without harsh synthetic chemicals. Always follow application guidelines for best results and environmental safety.
How long does it take to see results from Blossom Blood?
Results from Blossom Blood can typically be observed within 1-2 weeks of application, depending on the plant species and growing conditions. You may notice: Increased bud formation More vibrant flower colours Larger bloom sizes Improved plant vigor For fruiting plants, enhanced fruit set and development may take a bit longer, usually becoming evident 2-3 weeks after consistent use.
Can Blossom Blood be mixed with other fertilizers?
Blossom Blood can be mixed with most other liquid fertilizers, but it's essential to check for compatibility first. Avoid mixing with calcium-based products as this can cause nutrient lockout. When combining with other fertilizers, reduce the concentration of each product to prevent overfeeding. It's always best to do a small test mix before applying to all your plants.
How should I store Blossom Blood?
Store Blossom Blood in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the container tightly sealed when not in use to prevent contamination and maintain product efficacy. Avoid freezing or extreme heat, as this can affect the nutrient composition. Store out of reach of children and pets. Properly stored, Blossom Blood typically remains effective for up to 2 years from the manufacturing date.
