This tester screwdriver is for live line testing. It is also appropriate for microwave leak detection and polarity testing. It can test from 70-250V AC and up to 250V DC. Its polarity testing is between 1.5 and 3.6V.

How to Use Screwdriver Mains Tester

Remove covers that may hinder access to the circuit. If testing a home electrical outlet, remove the outlet’s cover crew and the cover to access it. All circuit uncovering is individual, there is no one size fits all. Find an appropriate point for touching the tester to. It needs to touch a bare wire, not an insulated point. Be sure to hold the insulated handle when doing so. If the handle lights up at the top there is power, if not the circuit is dead.
