Product Description
FishPlant Production Unit Complete Kit is an ideal system for starting Aquaponics. It is capable of providing for a small family or couple and can stock up to 3.5kg of fish. This system is designed for large comprehensive aquaponics systems and commercial-scale fish and plant cultivation. FishPlant Production Unit Complete Kit is designed for accessibility with its low height and its modular design allows for customization for specific needs and requirements.
Key Features
- All-encompassing Aquaponics system
- Suitable for Tilapia, Carp, Perch & Trout
- High-performance and efficient
- Reliable and easy to use
- Made at the strictest quality and performance standards
How It Works
FishPlant Production Unit Complete Kit works by feeding the fish with healthy food and the following fish waste goes into the water. Waste water is pumped through a pebble plant bed which feeds the fish and the plants purify the water. This is then recirculated so the fish get fresh oxygenated water. The plant bed of the system is based on Flood and Drain technique. The system ‘floods’ plant roots with water and nutrients, and ‘drains’ bringing fresh air to the root zone. It is designed to keep a constant circulation of fresh water and oxygenation for the fish.
How To Use And Assemble FishPlant Production Unit Complete Kit
System Setup:
- Select an appropriate location for installing the FishPlant Production Unit. Ensure it has access to electricity, water, and proper drainage.
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to assemble all the system components
- Ensure all connections are secure and properly sealed to prevent leaks.
Fish Integration:
- Introduce fish species suitable for aquaponics, considering factors such as water temperature, pH, and compatibility with the chosen plants.
- Acclimate the fish gradually to their new environment.
- Monitor fish health closely and feed them according to recommended guidelines.
Plant Cultivation:
- Plant a variety of crops in the hydroponic grow beds, selecting species that thrive in aquaponic systems and complement the fish species being raised.
- Monitor plant growth and adjust lighting, nutrient levels, and other environmental factors as needed to optimize growing conditions.
- Prune and harvest plants regularly to promote healthy growth and maintain optimal productivity.
Water Management:
- Monitor water parameters including temperature, pH, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels regularly using appropriate testing equipment.
- Ensure proper water circulation and aeration to maintain oxygen levels and prevent stagnation.
- Implement water recirculation and filtration systems to maintain water quality and conserve resources.
System Maintenance:
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks from cleaning filters to inspecting plumbing connections, and removing debris from the system components.
- Check for signs of wear or damage and replace any faulty components promptly to prevent disruptions to system operation.
- Regularly monitor and clean the system’s pumps, valves, and other mechanical parts to ensure optimal performance.
Monitoring and Optimization:
- Use automated monitoring and control systems, to track system parameters and make adjustments as needed to optimize performance.
- Monitor plant and fish health closely, observing for signs of stress, disease, or nutrient deficiencies.
- Keep detailed records of water parameters, plant growth, and fish health to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Harvesting and Maintenance:
- Harvest fish and plants as they reach maturity, taking care to minimize stress and damage during harvesting.
- Clean and maintain the system regularly to prevent the build-up of algae, pathogens, and other contaminants.
- Dispose of waste materials properly and replenish nutrients as needed to sustain ongoing production.
