Product Description

Clonex Mist is a specialised formula from Growth Technology. This potent mist can assist seedlings and cuttings to make their best start possible and invigorate their overall health from the very start. The formula contains a valuable nutrient and minerals, vital for plants at their most vulnerable stages.

What It Is Used For

Clonex Mist is a foliar spray designed for use on seedlings and cuttings. This product can improve the success rates of cuttings as well as hasten their rooting times. The formula is also very potent as a pre-treatment for mother plants.

How to Use Clonex Mist

When using as a foliar spray, you should give a light spray to all foliage before placing it into a propagator. Cuttings should be checked and sprayed in 2 to 3 days intervals. Using it in tandem with Clonex Gel improves success rates.

When using as a mother plant pre-treatment, simply spray the area that you wish to remove the cuttings from 2-3 times per week approximately two weeks before taking cuttings.

When using the concentrate, mix at a ratio of 250ml of concentrate per 750ml of water before pouring into a mister. Shake before using and use within 3 days.

FAQs
What is Clonex Mist?
Clonex Mist is a foliar spray designed to support plant cuttings and seedlings during the rooting process. It contains a blend of nutrients, vitamins, and hormones that help reduce transplant shock and promote healthy root development. This product is formulated to work in conjunction with Clonex Rooting Gel, providing ongoing care for cuttings and seedlings as they develop roots.
How do you use Clonex Mist?
To use Clonex Mist, spray it directly onto the leaves and stems of your cuttings once or twice daily. Ensure the plant is evenly coated but not dripping wet. Use it immediately after taking cuttings and continue throughout the rooting process. For best results, use in combination with Clonex Rooting Gel and maintain proper humidity levels for your cuttings.
Does Clonex Mist work on Ficus and Dianthus?
Yes, Clonex Mist is effective for a wide range of plants, including Ficus and Dianthus. Its balanced formula supports various plant species during the rooting process. However, always monitor your cuttings closely, as different plants may have specific care requirements beyond what Clonex Mist provides.
Can you use Clonex Mist with Clonex Rooting Hormone?
Absolutely! Clonex Mist is designed to work synergistically with Clonex Rooting Hormone. Use the rooting hormone gel when first taking cuttings, then apply Clonex Mist regularly to the leaves and stems. This combination provides comprehensive support for your cuttings, from initial root stimulation to ongoing nutrient supply.
Is it safe to use Clonex Mist on seedlings?
While Clonex Mist is primarily designed for cuttings, it can be safely used on seedlings in moderation. Its nutrient and vitamin blend can support young plants' growth. However, use a diluted solution for seedlings and apply less frequently than you would for cuttings. Always monitor your seedlings' response and adjust usage accordingly.
How often should I apply Clonex Mist?
For most plants, apply Clonex Mist once or twice daily during the rooting process. However, frequency may vary depending on the plant species, environmental conditions, and the stage of root development. In high-humidity environments, you may need to mist less frequently. Observe your cuttings and adjust the application as needed.
How long does a bottle of Clonex Mist last?
The longevity of a Clonex Mist bottle depends on the number of cuttings you're maintaining and how frequently you're applying it. A 100ml bottle typically lasts for several propagation cycles for a small to medium-sized grow. For larger operations or frequent propagation, consider purchasing larger sizes for better value.
Is Clonex Mist organic?
Clonex Mist is not certified organic, as it contains synthetic hormones and nutrients. However, it is formulated to be gentle on plants and environmentally responsible. If organic certification is crucial for your grow, look for specifically labelled organic alternatives, though they may not provide the same level of rooting support.
Can Clonex Mist be used in hydroponic systems?
Yes, Clonex Mist can be used in hydroponic systems, particularly during the initial rooting phase of cuttings. It's especially useful in aeroponic cloners or for cuttings in rockwool cubes. However, once roots have developed and cuttings are transferred to the main hydroponic system, transition to your regular nutrient regimen.
Can Clonex Mist help with transplant shock?
Yes, Clonex Mist can help reduce transplant shock. Its blend of nutrients and vitamins supports plant health during stressful transitions. When transplanting cuttings or young plants, apply Clonex Mist to the foliage before and after the move. This can help maintain plant vigor and reduce the stress associated with transplanting.
