Calcium is important for strong cell walls and root development, plant processes and photosynthesis. Magnesium is important for plant growth and health and is a building block for chlorophyll. Iron acts as an enzyme cofactor and is important for photosynthesis. A lack of iron limits growth. Nitrogen is essential for growth and biomass production and the formation of chlorophyll. The combination of all these elements improves the overall performance of your plants, resulting in healthier growth and colour.

Q: Should I adjust my nutrient solution when using Essentials PLUS CALMAG?

A: You should check the EC level of your nutrient solution, because adding CALMAG will increase it. Always check your pH level after addition too, which should ideally be within the range 5.8 - 6.5.
