Maintenance

Keep the blades clean. After several days of use, check the inside for dirt and brush it off. Make sure parts get oiled with the supplied oil.

Check the adjustment of the blades. With the small moving blade in the center position, it should press lightly on the lower blade. The pressure on the blades is adjusted with the nut and bolt. This adjustment is critical as the small blade must move easily, but at the same time the blades must remain in contact to ensure proper cutting action.If the adjustment of the blades is too tight, the engine will not reach its normal speed and will become hot, all moving parts will wear out quickly. Do not use excessive force when replacing the 5 screws.

The blades will show signs of wear over time however, it is not necessary to take action until the cutting ability really decreases.The motor of the Bonsai Hero is maintenance free, disassembling the motor will void the warranty.
