IWS Autodrain enables any runoff to be pumped to waste and most importantly it activates roots to search for their water. As a flexible system, its run-off gathering Control Unit gives an ideal window to monitor both EC and pH to optimize your grow.
The IWS AutoDrain Standard System holds the ability to remove run-off at a high pace. This has numerous beneficial effects on the growth, it stimulates nutrient uptake and develops the root zone, and it lessens the chances of root rot and any potential Pythium. Run-off is collected in the AutoDrain control unit. Once this reaches the Control Unit’s lower float all solution is pumped to waste.
The IWS AutoDrain System is designed for use on flat surfaces. This will ensure that all drainage is effective. Lay out stands in their desired placement. Provide enough space to cover plant growth. Place one washer over the threaded end of the fitting (tee or elbow).
Push the threaded end of the fitting through the stand from the outside. Place another washer over the threads of the fitting inside the stand and fix it with the locknut. This can be nipped tight with a spanner to ensure a watertight seal. An even number of lanes for the Control Unit. Cut pipework to necessary lengths and connect stands before ensuring each line is connected to the control unit. Make sure the piping is level and straight, heating ends beforehand can make this easier. Run pipe from the control unit to the waste. Place puts into stands, plug the control unit into the mains and you are ready to go.
Application on a flat surface is an absolute must to guarantee effective and even drainage. Using stands for elevation is key to allow effective run-off. It's inadvisable to use the system without stands.
